Nova Scotia

Today we are talking about Nova Scotia. We have learned:

The first boat ever made in Nova Scotia was the Bluenose. It crashed into the Navy and that is why they made the Bluenose 2.
Their fossil is called the Hylonomus Lyelli.
Their gem is called the Agate.
Nova Scotia is the official home of blueberries.
Nova Scotia’s tree is the red spruce.
The capital city is Halifax.
The provincial flower is the Mayflower.
The provincial dog is the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrever. ( and no it is not a duck.)
